The Deutsche Streicherphilharmonie, under the direction of its principal conductor Wolfgang Hentrich, will once again be a guest at the Vienna Musikverein, Great Hall. The orchestra will be accompanied on the piano by the charismatic pianist SoRyang. The programme includes works by Jenkins, Beethoven, Tzschaschel, Chopin, Dvorak and Vivaldi.

The Deutsche Streicherphilharmonie is the nation’s top ensemble for highly talented string players between the ages of 11 and 20. For over 40 years they have been delighting audiences with their uniquely differentiated string sound of the highest standard and their collective devotion to music. The orchestra is also distinguished by its active concert activity in renowned concert halls.

Wolfgang Hentrich has conducted numerous New Year’s concerts of the Dresden Philharmonic and the Robert Schumann Philharmonic in Chemnitz. He is honorary professor for violin at the Dresden Academy of Music and devotes himself with special love to special programs for children. Since August 2013 he is chief conductor of the Deutsche Streicherphilharmonie.
